First Spring Report

After a great start to the Lake Ontario season with brown trout and lake trout being the primary catch out of Point Breeze this year, Mother Nature has given us unfavorable east winds and cold weather week after week delaying our sprimg salmon activity. We finally got some west winds so I decided to go for a short scout to see what it’s looking like. Good green water has blown down from the mighty Niagara River and brought fish, bait, and decent temperature with it. Bite was not heavy yet but we saw and heard of king salmon, coho, steelhead, Atlantic salmon, and lake trout. It’s only getting better from here!

Fishing right now is incredible lots of action. In the skinny water for brown trout and out alittle deeper for lake trout doubles and triple have been common we have plenty more days to get in on the action!!

The spring of the yr we are chasing brown trout along the shore lines and rhen we swing out alittle deeper to fish lake triut on the bottom great for kids and beginners to see what lake kntario had to offer

Go out in the morning, we caught fishing but they really weren’t feeding that afternoon. We went over a lot of fishing but again they weren’t really feeding. Maybe you’ll get lucky like I did and catch a Atlantic Salmon, the Captain told me that catching one of those is really rare. Make sure you bring out some water and an ice chest with some ice in it. Other then that have a great time. It’s worth it.
